On the Next Edition of All This Jazz: Jazz Greats Remember Other Jazz Greats

Here's hoping you can tune in for the next All This Jazz, starting at 9pm on Saturday the 8th, right here on KWGS-FM / Public Radio Tulsa.

We'll hear wonderful music from the likes of Joe Chambers, Fats Waller, Nels Cline, and Dexter Gordon, to name just a few. And our 3rd-hour theme (running from 11pm until midnight) will be Jazz Greats Remembering Other Jazz Greats -- thus we'll dig Thelonious Monk in tribute to Bud Powell, Pat Metheny paying homage to Bill Evans, Steve Davis saluting J.J. Johnson, and so on. (Please note that this show originally aired in early November of last year.)

Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, ATJ delivers three hours of recent and classic jazz -- across a range of styles -- from 9 o'clock till midnight. From Stan Kenton to Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan to Geri Allen, and Woody Herman to Woody Shaw, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we always love sharing the same with our listeners.

Join us!

(Also, note that ATJ playlist information can usually be found here, although you'll have to scroll down a bit...and we also maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thank you.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
